About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Brady. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy new manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems, including ISO-9001 and AS9100.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to technicians and hourly associates to promote participation and cooperation in process development/improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement procedures for assembling, testing, and packaging processes.
  • Design, install, and debug tooling and new capital equipment.
  • Develop and implement automated systems for inspection, manufacturing, and data acquisition.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities and develop training systems and support documentation for associates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer.
  • Strong lean manufacturing skill set and knowledge with experience implementing lean methodologies/tools.
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, precision measuring devices.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, specifically ISO-9001, AS9100.
  • Must be a strong team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to drive change.
  • Printing and/or converting industry experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, AutoCAD preferred.
  • Ability to use Smartsheets, Google sheets, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of statistical tools; GR&Rs, SPC, DOE's, Ppk's, Cpk's, Hypothesis Testing.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Training Certification and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and/or ASQ Mechanical Inspector certification.
