Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy new manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems, including ISO-9001 and AS9100.
- Provide leadership and guidance to technicians and hourly associates to promote participation and cooperation in process development/improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement procedures for assembling, testing, and packaging processes.
- Design, install, and debug tooling and new capital equipment.
- Develop and implement automated systems for inspection, manufacturing, and data acquisition.
- Lead continuous improvement activities and develop training systems and support documentation for associates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer.
- Strong lean manufacturing skill set and knowledge with experience implementing lean methodologies/tools.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, precision measuring devices.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of quality management systems, specifically ISO-9001, AS9100.
- Must be a strong team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to drive change.
- Printing and/or converting industry experience preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD software, AutoCAD preferred.
- Ability to use Smartsheets, Google sheets, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of statistical tools; GR&Rs, SPC, DOE's, Ppk's, Cpk's, Hypothesis Testing.
- Basic understanding of GD&T.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Training Certification and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and/or ASQ Mechanical Inspector certification.
