Position: Plumbing Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
The Plumbing Supervisor will oversee the plumbing team, ensuring top-notch customer service and fostering a cohesive unit. This role involves shaping the organizational culture, driving performance, and resolving operational challenges, while also being attuned to financial aspects, strategic planning, and market competition.
In this role, you will:
- Lead proactively, spending the majority of your time in the field while also managing, mentoring, and holding the plumbing team accountable.
- Supervise, train, and guide plumbers in both technical skills and everyday responsibilities.
- Address daily technician needs, providing support, recognition, and corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure positive client interactions, addressing technician performance issues, billing discrepancies, and technical concerns from service visits.
- Perform plumbing services as required.
- Actively promote and embody our mission statement and core values.
- Identify growth opportunities and facilitate the development of individual technicians through on-site training, coaching, and assigned learning tasks.
- Educate plumbing technicians on updated procedures, work policies, and plumbing regulations.
- Organize and develop schedules for necessary equipment usage.
- Possess knowledge of OSHA regulations relevant to plumbing work and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor materials and labor expenses to maintain budget compliance within the plumbing department.
- Assist the Plumbing Manager in preparing capital expenditures and operational budgets.
- Collaborate with the Plumbing Manager and administrative staff to fulfill the operational needs of the plumbing division.
- Plan for personal and team development.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- A minimum of 10 years of plumbing and/or supervisory experience.
- Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred in PA, required in MD.
- Thorough understanding of local plumbing codes is essential.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills are required.
