About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Monitoring Technician to join our team at Franciscan Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms and providing critical care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Surveillance and Monitoring: Maintain surveillance of telemetry units and alarm documentation, providing telemetry strips to ensure accurate monitoring of patient condition.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot problems with equipment and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient monitoring of patients.
  • ECG Reporting: Prepare daily and cumulative ECG reports and document patient care information to ensure timely and accurate completion of patient records.
  • Inventory Management: Verify inventory levels, order, receive, and store supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and equipment logs.
  • Telephone Management: Answer multi-line telephones, answering caller's questions or directing the caller to the appropriate party, utilizing proper telephone etiquette and responding within defined service standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience: 1 year EKG Technician experience preferred, 1 year ECG interpretation experience preferred
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Holter Scanning Technician
