Role Overview:
This position is integral to the continuity and enhancement of production operations at AEM. The role involves the design of mechanical and electromechanical fixtures and systems tailored for production, addressing quality challenges in manufacturing processes, and developing solutions that drive ongoing quality enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the continuous production of mechanical and electronic assemblies while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct electrical testing of products and maintain test fixtures, including performing failure analyses.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to uphold and refine quality procedures in the manufacturing environment.
- Design fixtures and systems that support various product lines, including weather and marine monitoring technologies.
- Partner with Design Engineering to streamline new product development, assembly processes, and testing protocols.
- Strive for the enhancement of existing products and production methodologies, focusing on quality improvements and cost efficiency.
- Liaise with component vendors and technology suppliers to elevate quality and reduce expenses.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Bills of Materials, and technical drawings.
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure efficient product transfers between manufacturing facilities, prioritizing quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in managing the manufacturing aspects of new product launches in conjunction with Design Engineering and Project Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, with a focus on electromechanical design and fabrication.
- Proficient in mechanical design principles, thermal and stress analysis, and familiar with various materials and machining processes.
- Skilled in AutoCAD and SolidWorks software, with a solid understanding of 3D CAD modeling.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to navigate complex variables in diverse situations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret and convey technical information effectively.
Additional Information:
- This role requires on-site presence at AEM facilities.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $130,000 annually, based on various factors including experience and qualifications.
