NDT Technician II

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled NDT Technician II to join our team in a quality assurance role. As an NDT Technician II, you will be responsible for performing non-destructive tests and determining product acceptability in accordance with prescribed methods and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Non-Destructive Testing: Perform non-destructive tests (NDT) and determine product acceptability to the authorized limits of the NDT level obtained in accordance with prescribed methods and procedures.
- Test Result Evaluation: Record, organize, and evaluate test results and enter results into applicable documents.
- Radiation Safety: Ensure compliance to all radiation safety rules and regulations and provide protection to self and others during testing.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and assure calibration for tests to be performed.
- Inventory Control: Maintain inventory control of area equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Work with and assist other NDT Technicians as required.
- Workload Coordination: Coordinate NDT inspection workload according to priorities, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to subordinate level NDT technicians.
- Process Control: Perform process control on area inspection equipment.
- Exposure Room Safety: Perform exposure room interlock safety checks, establish radiation safety barriers, zero pocket dosimeters, operate radiation survey meters, and complete applicable survey logs and forms.
- Automated Inspection: Perform automated ultrasonic C-scan inspection of composite parts.
- Flexibility: Must be available to work any shift.
- Method Level II Certification: Must have Method Level II Formal Training Hours for Certification and Method Level II Experience Hours for Certification in two (2) disciplines.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. 3 years related technical experience required. 1 year NDT experience on determining product acceptability required. Proficiency in blueprint reading/interpretation and shop mathematics required.
- Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
