Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at FDIHB, Inc. in the Navajo Nation. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic mental illnesses in children and adolescents through direct patient care or consultation services.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Provide medical care and preventive services to patients, including guidance on nutrition, common illnesses, accidents, growth, and development.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to provide consultation services and coordinate clinical care.
- Participate in Quality Assurance Improvement Performance (QAPI) review processes and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Supervise physician assistants, certified nurse practitioners, and/or students, interns, or residents as needed.
- At least one year of experience in psychiatric care in an inpatient or outpatient setting as a resident or staff physician.
- Completion of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy (MD/DO) from an accredited University.
- Completion of an accredited-ACGME residency program in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry and/or Adult Psychiatry.
- Must be Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
- Must hold a current license to practice in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Must have a current, valid, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) License.
- CPR/First Aid certified.
- Enrolled member of the Navajo Nation or other federally-recognized Indian tribe.
