Clinical Pharmacist South Campus

As a Clinical Pharmacist at Children's Hospital Colorado, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in pediatric patients. You will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to provide pharmaceutical care, promote health and wellness, and prevent disease.
Responsibilities- Provide drug information services, responding to questions regarding medication compatibilities, adverse drug events, regimens, dosing, interactions, storage, and disposal.
- Sustain and implement quality and safety initiatives and practices in the department and throughout the hospital.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team rounds and care, emergency response, education, guidance, interpretation, and analysis of medication-related therapeutic issues.
- Document pharmaceutical interventions according to departmental standards and perform therapeutic drug monitoring and disease outcome analysis.
- Timely verification of medication orders in an electronic health record system.
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.
- Completion of one year pharmacy residency or one year of pharmacy work experience accepted in lieu of residency.
- State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Pharmacist license.
As a Clinical Pharmacist at Children's Hospital Colorado, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. You will be exposed to blood/body fluid, hazardous and nonhazardous chemicals, and infectious diseases. You must be able to manage stress appropriately and work effectively with others.
