Job Summary:

SUNY Brockport is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residence Director to join our team. As a key member of the Office of Residential Life and Learning Communities, you will play a critical role in developing safe, inclusive, and vibrant communities that value academic excellence and overall student development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational programming to promote student learning and development
  • Provide crisis response and support to students in need
  • Manage occupancy and ensure a safe and inclusive community experience for residents
  • Collaborate with students, staff, and faculty to create a positive and engaging residential environment
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field
  • Ability to work in a diverse college population and commitment to creating an inclusive environment
  • Experience with student learning and development
  • Ability to climb stairs, complete rounds, and physically respond to duty calls within residence halls
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling, or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on departmental initiatives
  • Experience designing and implementing student learning outcomes
  • Experience with current technology initiatives
Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Salary and Benefits:

Minimum Salary is $39,661. Benefits eligible; more information available upon request.
