Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Key Responsibilities:
* Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
* Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
* Operate all equipment in practice with competence
* Complete patient scans in a professional and efficient manner
* Review patient images to ensure they meet diagnostic qualities
* Provide attention to detail, safe work practices, and thorough accurate documentation
* Perform ongoing daily calibration and preventive maintenance on required equipment
* Enter measurements in the reporting system, print reports, and file and fax as required
* Understand and institute clinical policies and procedures
* Perform individual and group training sessions related to sonography
* Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations
* Provide excellent patient care
Requirements:
* Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
* One to two years of ultrasound experience
* Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays
* Possess ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional posture
* Ability to do mathematical calculations and use instrument controls
* Working knowledge of scanning protocols
* Experience with electronic medical records systems required; prior working knowledge of Epic preferred
* Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
* Travel throughout the affiliate as needed
* Bilingual a plus
