Weld Fabrication Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled individual with a robust background in weld fabrication, particularly with heavier gauge steel. This role involves working with comprehensive systems that incorporate welded, machined, and purchased components to create a finished piece of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Review assembly drawings to provide effective guidance on the shop floor, ensuring a smooth initiation of production runs.
2. Act as a liaison between the shop floor and engineering teams for any necessary drawing modifications.
3. Demonstrate proficiency in blueprint reading and the ability to create shop floor routings for part production.
4. Maintain a fundamental understanding of welding, forming, and press brake operations.
5. Utilize strong computer skills to support production processes.
6. Exhibit self-motivation and a proactive approach in a production environment, spending the majority of time on the production floor.

Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in establishing production lines for short runs of fabricated assemblies, ideally 200 units or less.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and experience in designing tooling and fixtures for weldments.
- Hands-on experience in welding, forming, and machining processes.
