Position Summary:
The role of Environmental Compliance Specialist is vital to our operational success.

This position is tasked with ensuring adherence to environmental regulations, with a primary focus on the coordination of water and waste management systems.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Prepare, document, and submit all necessary environmental reports for plant operations, including but not limited to Water Development Board Reports, Annual Waste Summaries, NSPS reports, and TPDES wastewater reports.

2. Collaborate with vendors to fulfill permit requirements, schedule necessary testing, and provide follow-up documentation as needed.

3. Support operational teams on matters related to wastewater treatment, hazardous waste management, and maintenance activities.

4. Coordinate sampling and monitoring for potable water, wastewater, and stormwater, as well as track waste shipments.

5. Assist in environmental enhancement and waste reduction initiatives to align with corporate sustainability objectives.

6. Engage with the local Citizen's Advisory Council by providing periodic updates, attending meetings, and facilitating written communications.

7. Audit and monitor the completion of routine tasks such as wastewater sampling, waste inventory management, and waste profiling to ensure compliance.

8. Aid in the documentation and review of various aspects related to overall environmental compliance.


Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the environmental sector, ideally within a chemical manufacturing context.
- Proven experience in applying environmental regulations, such as RCRA and the Clean Water Act.
- Proficiency in Excel is preferred.

Education Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
