Position Summary
Verdantas is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer Co-Op. This role will involve supporting various engineering tasks in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids.
- Support fieldwork activities, including construction observation, soil sampling, and site inspections.
- Conduct research, collect, and input data, applying technical principles to interpret and analyze findings.
- Review technical documents and submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and prepare draft reports.
- Create CAD drawings in accordance with NECS standards under the supervision of a CAD designer.
- Handle miscellaneous assignments as required.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong written communication skills to effectively convey outcomes to clients and team members.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Previous engineering internship or Co-Op experience is advantageous.
