Job Overview

Starting wage: $19.46

Schedule: 4 days per week with opportunities for overtime.

Shifts available: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load cheese onto conveyors for packaging machinery.
  • Extract cheese from brine cages.
  • Organize cheese boxes on pallets to ensure they fit properly in cooler racks without damage.
  • Assemble boxes and package products accordingly.
  • Remove packaging from rejected cheese and prepare cheese for repackaging.
  • Examine products and packaging for any foreign materials or defects. If any are found, separate the suspect products, reprocess through a metal detector, and if still unacceptable, document the batch number and notify a supervisor.
  • Conduct cleaning and sanitation tasks as necessary to maintain equipment.
  • Keep work areas tidy and organized.
  • Support other production areas as needed.
  • Assist in the training of new staff members.
  • Reduce water usage and minimize wastewater generation within the role.
  • Adhere to all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and operate in compliance with food safety, quality, and sanitation regulations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • No previous experience is necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform basic writing, addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
  • Capability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
