The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in the Cardiac Medsurg unit. As a key member of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serving as a resource person for staff and modeling a commitment to the organization's vision and values.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to optimize patient throughput and quality care.
- Participate in ongoing assessments of patient care services, collaborating with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy, engaging in service recovery when necessary.
- Operationalize current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives, to enhance engagement and patient satisfaction.
- Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling, managing labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
- Registered Nurse with a graduate degree from a nursing school.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Minimum of three years recent nursing practice experience.
