Behavioral Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) to join our team at East Haven Public Schools. As an RBT, you will play a critical role in providing clinical skills instruction and implementing behavior reduction protocols using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct student care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and maladaptive behavior reduction protocols.
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable student behavior.
- Facilitate behavior change by modifying maladaptive behaviors and replacing them with appropriate behavior.
- RBT Certification (or willingness to become certified)
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Psychology, Education, or Applied Behavior Analysis
- High School Diploma or equivalent
This is a 10-month position, offering $25.00 per hour. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to interpret and implement clinical protocols, and maintain student confidentiality.

Work EnvironmentThe physical demands of this role require the ability to read reports, use a computer, and retrieve information from an electronic filing system. You must also be able to learn and acquire new information, methodologies, and techniques, as well as work effectively in both office and school settings.
