**Job Summary**

The Instructional Assistant provides support to the classroom teacher and is under his/her immediate direction. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, as well as experience working with school-age children.

**Requirements**

* High School Diploma or GED
* AA Degree, or 48 College Semester Units, or Passing (70%) of County-wide Instructional Assistant Examination Minimum Proficiency Test
* Experience working with school-age children
* Fingerprint and tuberculosis clearances as required by law

**Salary and Benefits**

Placement on the CSEA Salary Schedule Range, 16, 18, or 20, based on the number of college semester units completed.
