Agronomy Professional

The Medallion Club is a private, 27-hole golf course located in Westerville, Ohio. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in golf course maintenance and agronomic practices.

• Daily mowing of all playing surfaces with walk-behind units and riding units.
• Proper water management, including hand watering, moisture meter readings, and irrigation head setup.
• Fertilizer and chemical applications, ensuring proper calibration and techniques.
• Proper course setup, including daily hole locations, tee locations, and detail work.
• Cultural practices, such as topdressing, aerification, verticutting, brushing, and more.
• Irrigation maintenance, including Toro Lynx system repairs and small rotor/mist head repair.
• Learning to manage according to weather conditions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Carrying oneself with professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
• Understanding the importance of networking, career preparation, and record keeping.
• Participating in bunker renovations and other projects.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in turf management, agronomy, or horticulture.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for golf course maintenance.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
