The Medallion Club, a private 27-hole golf course in Westerville, Ohio, is seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join our team as an Agronomy Intern. This seasonal internship provides valuable hands-on experience in golf course maintenance, allowing you to gain a deep understanding of the industry and contribute to the overall maintenance of our golf course.

• Daily mowing of all playing surfaces with walk-behind units and riding units.
• Proper water management, including hand watering, moisture meter readings, and irrigation head setup.
• Fertilizer and chemical applications, with a focus on proper calibration and techniques.
• Proper course setup, including daily hole locations, tee locations, and detail work.
• Cultural practices, such as topdressing, aerification, verticutting, and brushing.
• Irrigation maintenance, including Toro Lynx system repair and maintenance.
• Learning how to manage according to weather conditions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
• Understanding the importance of networking, career preparation, and record keeping.
• Assisting with small crews on projects, such as drainage, sod work, and edging.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in turf management, agronomy, or horticulture.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for golf course maintenance.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
