Aircraft Maintenance Lead

At Amentum, we are committed to delivering exceptional services that meet our customers' expectations. As an Aircraft Mechanic II - EHS Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, organize, and coordinate environmental, health, and safety programs for our contract at CFT - North Island HSC-3.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Design, install, and maintain essential written programs and documentation.
- Develop and implement results-oriented EHS initiatives to reduce injury rates.
- Articulate the importance of safety and health, creating and presenting effective EHS training programs.
- Serve as the on-site consultant to management for all EHS issues.
- Lead the site Safety Team, providing direction, setting deadlines, and ensuring proper safety coverage.
- Responsible for all administrative tasks assigned for the work center.
- Ensure all safety policies are enforced and all areas of the PWS are maintained.
- Conduct and oversee EHS training programs for employees.
- Monitor the workplace environment, analyzing work processes, materials, equipment, and employee work habits.
- Perform traditional EHS duties, including job safety analyses, health and safety training, workplace incident investigations, and workplace safety inspections.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of ten (10) years actual and recent O-level H-60S/R/F/H Aircraft Maintenance experience or equivalent rotary aircraft experience.
- Two (2) years must be performed at a management level.
- Ability to read and write and interpret technical data and special operating instructions.
- Good verbal and written skills and leadership ability.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, and hear.
The employee must have the ability to perform aircraft maintenance duties and move freely about the interior and exterior of the aircraft as well as meet aircraft-specific specifications for weight limits.
The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, and outside weather conditions.
The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration.
The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of radiation.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and requires hearing protection.
Additionally, the job requires constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and the ability to work under deadlines.
