Aircraft Maintenance Technician Job Description

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician performs critical tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft and support equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-operational checks and maintenance tasks on aircraft and support equipment
  • Conduct inspections and repairs to ensure aircraft airworthiness
  • Operate and maintain ground support equipment, including fueling and defueling systems
  • Provide aircraft movement and direction, as well as fire guard services during ground and flight operations
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to complete tasks and meet deadlines
Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician works in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high temperatures, and hazardous materials. The role requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as work at heights and in confined spaces.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of actual and recent aircraft maintenance/modification/repair experience on H-60s or equivalent rotary aircraft experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) with a Tier 3 adjudication
  • Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks
Additional Requirements:
  • Position may require working with foreign countries/cultures
  • Position is full-time employment; 40 hours is not guaranteed per week
  • Must be able to work all work site shifts, start time and end time will be dependent on flight schedule and or overall tasking
