Key Responsibilities:
The Optometrist will provide general optometric services to residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care establishments within a specified area.
Essential Duties:
- Diagnosis and management of refractive errors.
- Care for ocular conditions associated with aging.
- Comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of eye diseases, injuries, and disorders.
- Identification of systemic health issues impacting ocular well-being.
- Accurate documentation and patient data entry in our advanced EMR system.
- Regular travel to deliver care in nursing facilities.
- Efficient completion of assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Optometry.
- Valid professional license in the state.
- Current driver's license.
- TPA certification/Legend Drug Certificate.
- Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
- Strong communication, organizational, and IT skills.
- Familiarity with email, internet navigation, and eagerness to learn new healthcare software.
