Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Sub-Acute setting at McAuley Residence SNF. As an Orthopedic Care Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating total patient care and participating in patient and family teaching.

About the Role

In this dynamic role, you will actively participate in the direct care of patients with a variety of medical and surgical health problems. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and provide direction to non-licensed personnel within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in patient and family teaching to promote health literacy and self-care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to non-licensed personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN)
  • New York State Professional Nurse License
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience in Long Term Care, Sub-Acute, or Acute Care settings preferred
Working Conditions

This role may involve exposure to disagreeable conditions, including odors, communicable diseases, infections, and injuries from patients or equipment.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
