About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Changeover / Conversion Crew Specialist. As a key member of our Events and Facilities Department, you will play a vital role in the production, setup, and execution of all events at Tampa Bay Sun FC.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and tearing down various events, including soccer, football, and other events, which involves LED boards, glass, staging, tables, chairs, and other equipment.
  • Working cooperatively with all staff members to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Ensuring the health, safety, and security of co-workers and guests by following all safety procedures and rules, as well as OSHA standards.
  • Maintaining all equipment in excellent working order, including preventative maintenance.
  • Monitoring and reporting to the manager any discrepancies, damage, loss of property, safety concerns, and other issues.
  • Performing cleaning and maintenance on operations department equipment, keeping work areas and equipment organized and functional.
  • Working safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlines.
  • Possessing a team player mentality and being able to adapt to changes and work in a multi-client environment.
  • Turf maintenance and other duties as assigned by the manager.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. and load/unload up to 100lbs.
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school graduate or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in fast-paced live event productions and sports.
  • Prior experience in an arena, stadium, convention center, or similar venue is recommended but not required.
  • Knowledge of various audio equipment, including microphones, sound recording devices, speaker systems, and other related equipment.
  • Experience with video streaming services and live event production is preferred.
  • Ability to set up rooms by interpreting diagrams and follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail and last-minute updates or requests.
  • Must be willing to learn new Audio/Video operations and workflows.
  • Must have proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be flexible with working long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Work in good physical condition and health, with sufficient strength and stamina needed for heavy, awkward, and repeated lifting of up to 100 pounds.
  • Perform heavy manual labor for extended periods.
  • Climb portable and fixed ladders.
  • Work in extreme temperature changes from outdoor heat to inclement weather.
  • Walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day.
  • Bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasionally work at heights above 10 ft.
  • Be exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, and dust.
