We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Advisor to join our team at the Louisiana Special School District. As a Residential Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to our students who are deaf, hearing impaired, and/or visually impaired.

The Residential Advisor will be responsible for creating a homelike atmosphere for students, providing basic care, supervision, guidance, and training. This includes assisting with daily living skills, such as personal hygiene, household management, and time management. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, providing a safe and supportive environment for our students.

• Provide direct care and support to students, including assistance with daily living skills
• Assist with mealtime supervision and feeding
• Accompany students to and from school, activities, and appointments
• Monitor living areas and maintain custody control
• Document bed checks and maintain accurate records
• Report any incidents or concerns to higher authority

• No experience or training required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with students who have varying levels of ability and need
