Job Title: Senior Electronics Engineer

Spire Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and integrating custom components for our next-generation satellite platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and integrate custom components for our satellite platform
  • Develop and implement electrical design solutions for spacecraft electronics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets requirements and specifications
  • Lead the validation and qualification process for testing new and existing systems
  • Mentor and support team members on domain-specific technical areas
Requirements:
  • Electronics theory, including component knowledge and analogue and digital circuitry expertise
  • Board design experience, including schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer
  • Experience with FPGA-based designs for high-speed and high-data-rate digital signal processing applications
  • Strong knowledge of high-speed digital layout design practices and experience using SI tools
  • Experience with digital communication interfaces and lab equipment
Preferred Skills:
  • Design for IPC-6012DS Class 3A or ECSS-Q-ST-70-12C/60C compliance
  • Experience with high-power electronic design and thermal management
  • SI tools experience, such as Hyperlynx or equivalent
  • Experience with satellite communication systems and environmental and component reliability requirements

Spire Global operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in office. Access to US export-controlled software and/or technology may be required.
