We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at HealthNet Inc. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of patient care services, including collecting patient information, preparing exam rooms, and assisting providers with patient exams and treatments.
- Collect and process lab samples, administer injections and immunizations, and perform phlebotomy as needed.
- Provide patient education and clerical support, including data entry and basic math skills.
- Work effectively in a high-volume patient environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks to ensure seamless patient care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within one month of hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited educational program for medical assistants preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding, with ability to learn and adapt to new coding systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull equipment, with occasional lifting of light to moderately heavy weights (up to 20-30 pounds).
