Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Rural Health Med Program Inc. The successful candidate will provide administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide patient care, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and phlebotomy.
  2. Assist with medical procedures and treatments, including preparing patients for examination and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  3. Organize examination rooms, maintain a clean and orderly working environment, and administer medication as needed.
  4. Prepare patients for examination, assist with medical procedures, and provide patient education with the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
  5. Assist in maintaining patient health records and participating in Patient Centered Medical Home Care Team collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Certificate or Associate's Degree in a Medical Assistant Program.
  • Previous work experience in a job-related position preferred.
  • Medical assistant certification from an acceptable hospital program or school.
  • BLS certification.

Working Conditions:

This position requires manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and good listening skills. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, and reach with hands and arms frequently.

Language Skills/Specialized Skills:

  1. Ability to read, speak effectively, analyze and interpret documents.
  2. Ability to work well under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in document creation and utilization of specific computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records.
