Job Title: Human Research Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Research Technologist to join our team at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. As a key member of our research team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our studies and contributing to the advancement of mental health research.

Job Summary:

The Human Research Technologist will be responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance issues, hiring and training support staff, leading participant recruitment and retention efforts, and performing data collection and management. This is a limited-term position funded for one year from date of hire, with the possibility of renewal.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tracking and recording protocol-specific certifications and procedure certifications.
  • Hire, train, and supervise support staff, assigning work and evaluating staff performance.
  • Lead participant recruitment and retention efforts, including scheduling and coordinating study visits and training sessions.
  • Perform data collection and management, ensuring compliance with data integrity standards.
  • Assist in writing reports and scientific papers for publication and academic presentations.
  • Track study progress and troubleshoot problems that may arise.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Clearances:
  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades, is $46, $67,300.00. Salary Structure - additional information on Penn State's job and salary structure.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
