Job Summary:

Marlborough Public Schools is seeking a Cafeteria Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of food, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the food service facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve food, including vegetables, soups, sandwiches, and salads
• Operate electrical equipment, such as mixers, potato peelers, and dishwashers
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, tables, and floors
• Assist with inventory, cashiering, and record-keeping
• Work as a member of a cafeteria staff team
• Assist and monitor students in the cafeteria

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
• Experience in food service industry preferred
• Positive contributor as a team player

Working Conditions:

The Cafeteria Helper will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and cleaning chemicals. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
