Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize quantitative and financial techniques to monitor, post, and reconcile utility invoices.
  • Conduct thorough audits to ensure the precision of all utility charges, addressing any discrepancies found.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of billing activities through advanced Excel spreadsheets and reporting tools.
  • Apply analytical skills to investigate and resolve issues, making informed and ethical decisions.
  • Manage the activation and closure of utility accounts, ensuring smooth transitions during tenant changes.
  • Facilitate billing adjustments for tenants regarding delayed utility activations, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
  • Coordinate with utility payable vendors to allocate expenses accurately within the General Ledger.
  • Engage with utility vendors to swiftly resolve any billing discrepancies.
  • Oversee the creation and upkeep of utility rate libraries, ensuring accurate calculations of tenants' utility charges as per lease agreements.
  • Extract and verify data from metering and utility charge databases for accurate tenant energy charge estimations.
  • Assist in estimating utility escrows for new tenants, aiding in informed leasing decisions.
  • Calculate final utility charges for tenant closings, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Supervise the validation of tenant charge calculations by external entities, ensuring accountability.
  • Collaborate with tenant relations to address inquiries and issues related to utility services.
