Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

About the Role
At Heart Hospital of Austin, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. As a CVICU Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement and evaluate care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and delegate tasks to non-licensed personnel as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop, evaluate, and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor patient hemodynamic status, identify dysrhythmias, and treat accordingly.
- Provide education to patients and families on care and treatments, and facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
