Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Conduct regular surveillance and reporting of infection rates, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Infection Control and Employee Health Committees to ensure alignment with current scientific knowledge, acceptable practice guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide education and training to staff on infection control best practices and ensure compliance with OSHA recommendations and TJC standards.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of infection control activities, including surveillance data and employee health records.
- Develop and implement employee health programs to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to infection control and employee health.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in Massachusetts.
- BSN/CIC preferred.
- Minimum of two years clinical experience, with a focus on geriatric, adolescent, and rehabilitation care.
- Education and experience in infection control, epidemiology, and/or microbiology required.
- Minimum 2 years occupational/employee health experience.
- Knowledge of Worker's Compensation and OSHA regulations.
- Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
- Certification in BLS of Adult, Child, and Infant.
