You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support.
Responsibilities- Administer basic and advanced emergency medical care, including medication administration and use of equipment such as EKGs.
- Assess injuries and illnesses, and provide critical care to patients as needed.
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices in emergency medical care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an approved Paramedic training program required.
- Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (EMT-P) certification within the Commonwealth of PA or Pre-Hospital Health Professional credential required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Paramedic or one (1) year of experience as a Paramedic and one (1) year previous supervisory EMS experience or PHRN (Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse) required.
- Three (3) years total of pre-hospital experience required.
- Basic Life Support certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification, EVOC certificate, and NIMS (100, 200, 700 & 800) are required.
- A valid PA Driver's License with at least a 2 year driving history before beginning employment is required.
- Completion of approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Training program PA DOH EMSVO NIMS (100, 200, 700 & 800) required.
- PA Hazmat awareness training is required within 30 days of employment.
- Must obtain Medical Command within 90 days of start date.
