About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grounds Person to join our team at Peckham Industries. As a Grounds Person, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plant Operations Support: Assist the Plant Manager in monitoring plant operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  2. Maintenance and Repair: Help maintain, prepare, and stage materials, tools, and equipment for plant maintenance projects.
  3. Inspections and Exams: Perform daily workplace exams and inspections of working areas to ensure a safe working environment.
  4. Communication: Communicate effectively with team members using two-way radios.
Requirements
  1. MSHA Training and Experience: Prior MSHA training or experience is preferred.
  2. Mechanical and Maintenance Experience: Prior mechanical or maintenance experience is preferred.
  3. Welding Experience: Welding experience is preferred.
  4. Education: A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  5. Language Skills: Proficient verbal and written English skills are required.
  6. Work Authorization: The ability to work legally in the U.S. is required.
Work Environment

This position works outdoors in various weather conditions and requires heavy work, including moving objects up to 50 pounds or more. The position also involves working on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment.
