Position Overview


The Technical Automation Specialist plans and coordinates specialist engineering activities, managing projects within Inspection, Device Assembly, and Packaging PET. This role ensures operation and maintenance of assets, leading improvement initiatives as a technical expert and providing support for project-related work.


  • Interfaces with equipment and systems, including PLCs, HMIs, Servers, and other automation equipment.
  • Experience with networking, including VLAN, Subnets, and IP protocols.
  • Leads yield improvements, OEE improvements, and waste reduction for automated pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
  • Drives root cause analysis and performs technical investigations.
  • Authors and reviews documents, including Standard Operating Procedures and Engineering reports.
  • Develops project justification and engineering proposals.
  • Evaluates new software and tools.
  • Collaborates with suppliers and trains team members on equipment and processes.
  • Works collaboratively within the operation and with other engineers.

 


Requirements


Minimum qualifications include experience in manufacturing operations in a regulated or cGMP environment, and experience with Automation systems such as PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.


Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, and experience with Factory Talk Batch, Data Historian, and Visualization systems.

Compensation


The target base pay hiring range for this position is $80,000-$113,750 per year, depending on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
