TCS Mechanical, a leading mechanical and plumbing contractor in the greater Austin area, is seeking a skilled Estimator to support our technical projects. Our team works with clients such as Samsung Semiconductor and the University of Texas, and we are looking for an individual with strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Onscreen takeoff of process piping, mechanical piping, and plumbing systems

• Soliciting and scoping proposals from equipment, material suppliers, and subcontractors

• Assisting with coordinating client needs for presentation and/or bid forms

• Documenting assumptions and maintaining accurate documents

• Assisting current projects with pricing of changes

Requirements:

• 4-year mechanical engineering, business, or construction science degree (or commensurate levels of technical training and/or related experience)

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to work in a time-conscious manner

• Excellent MS Office skills and ability to learn new software systems

• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Ability to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, twist, bend, and lift 40 pounds

• Ability to work in a clean room environment and pass an extensive background check and drug test
