Join the Matheny Medical and Educational Center as a Full Time or Part Time Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) at our Community Residence.

Full Time schedule is 7pm-7am.

Qualified candidates who are hired for Full Time positions will receive a Signing Bonus of $3,000.00 (with $1,500.00 payable after six months of continuous employment and the remaining $1,500.00 after one year of continuous employment).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary nurse for a designated group of community residents as assigned by the Community Nurse Manager.
  • Deliver skilled nursing care to community residents.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Document all aspects of patient care in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate care with Community Resident Assistants.
  • Provide training to enhance staff development and improve patient care.
  • Establish professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Review residents' health and medication records regularly.
  • Ensure adherence to prescribed diets and exercise plans.
  • Consult with medical personnel on health and safety matters.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide necessary interventions.
  • Advise on health policies and ensure their implementation.
  • Conduct monitoring activities as directed by management.
  • Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities.
  • Administer medications and treatments as required during shifts.
  • Communicate effectively with staff regarding residence-related issues.
  • Complete necessary documentation for the Community Residence.
  • Review meal plans to ensure nutritional compliance.
  • Train new staff on Community Residence Policies and Procedures.
  • Accompany residents to appointments and outings.
  • Follow medication administration protocols as per guidelines.
  • Assist with personal care and daily living activities for all residents.
