Deliver Exceptional Guest Service

We are seeking a skilled Front Desk Agent to join our team at Zia Park Casino Hotel Racetrack. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service at all times, communicating with all departments regarding in-house VIPs and any special needs, and maintaining an up-to-date working knowledge of all Zia Park amenities as well as any special events.

Promote and Sell Hotel Programs

You will promote and sell special hotel programs, special rate packages, and upgrades when appropriate, maintain house bank and handle all checks and cash according to Zia Park policies and procedures, and follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.

Be Knowledgeable and Communicative

You must be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and company policies, have good communication skills, and be able to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight. You will also be responsible for taking reservations and accurately inputting into the computer system, answering inquiries of room rates, outlets, and room locations, and interacting with Hotel Sales Manager on bookings.

Additional Responsibilities

You will keep up to date with knowledge of phone system, handle all guests' special requests in a professional manner, complete all necessary projects by the assigned times, complete documents as directed and to specifications, and answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have a High School diploma or equivalent, and six months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. You must also be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word), be able to read and write in English, and have good verbal communicating skills. Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc. are also required.
