Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian I, Part-Time to join our team at County College of Morris. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our campus buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide variety of routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuum cleaning, dusting, and changing light bulbs.
  • Maintain restrooms, including cleaning walls, sinks, fixtures, toilets, and mirrors.
  • Replenish towels, tissues, and soap dispensers.
  • Empty garbage receptacles and perform recycling duties as needed.
  • Clean entrances to buildings, including glass on entrance doors and exterior areas.
  • Policing areas around buildings for litter.
  • Perform work orders assigned by the Custodial Supervisor, including assisting with set-ups for special events and college activities.
  • Clear snow and ice from entrance ways, walkways, patios, and steps.
  • Shovel or sweep areas and apply calcium chloride as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalency desirable.
  • 0-6 months experience in custodial maintenance.

Work Hours:

Monday – Thursday: 9:30 pm – 1:30 am

Friday: 9:30 pm – 1:00 am
