Job Overview

We are looking for a proficient Plastic Molding Equipment Technician to enhance our manufacturing operations. This position involves managing blow molding machinery to fabricate superior components through the assembly of various parts and subassemblies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Operate and oversee plastic blow molding machinery.
  2. Assemble and position components utilizing templates and precise measurements.
  3. Conduct visual inspections and employ measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) to verify product quality.
  4. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery and address any technical issues as they arise.
  5. Ensure a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company standards and regulations.
  6. Manage inventory of materials, including ordering and confirming deliveries.
  7. Complete accurate production records and documentation.
  8. Package finished products for distribution or storage.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in process inspection, product labeling, and packaging.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and reject management.
  • Ability to read and interpret production documents and instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

Essential Skills:

  • Technical expertise in blow molding operations.
  • Skills in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of safety protocols within a manufacturing setting.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Physical endurance to stand for extended periods and lift weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in plastics manufacturing, particularly in blow molding injection.
  • Proficiency in using calipers and other measuring tools.
