Job Description

As a Staff Electronics Engineer at GE Aerospace, you will play a key role in the design and development of high-reliability ignition products, solutions, and systems. This position requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to drive technical innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, and integrated circuitry for engine ignition systems.
  • Determine design approaches and parameters; analyze equipment to establish validation approaches, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
  • Develop new solutions with minimal guidance, and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organization.
  • Serve as a best practice/quality resource, with awareness of the latest technical developments in the field.
  • Contribute towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within the area of responsibility.
  • Work together with business leadership at various levels to specify needs, communicate project approaches, and present outcomes of research.
  • Deliver products as part of a cross-functional multidisciplinary team.
  • Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
  • Develop specialized knowledge in the discipline and have in-depth knowledge of best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 9 years of experience in engineering).
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience with analog, digital, and pulse power circuitry.
  • High voltage electronic components, printed circuit board assemblies, and packaging.
  • Experience with magnetic components design and development.
  • Strong power electronics knowledge and background.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
