Job Responsibilities:
New hires may be eligible for a bonus of up to $17,500 for Registered Nurses who are new to state service and remain employed for a duration of two years.
- A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available for new hires with a one-year written commitment.
- An additional retention bonus of $7,500 will be granted to new hires after one year of service, contingent upon a one-year written agreement.
These bonuses are applicable to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who are new to the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) or have not been employed by DBHDS for at least one year.
We are seeking LPNs for both day and evening shifts. LPNs will work 8-hour shifts, either two shifts or five shifts per week, including every other weekend.
We welcome both recent graduates and seasoned professionals to join our team as full-time Licensed Practical Nurses on rotating shifts, with holiday and weekend work required.
The LPN is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to psychiatric and geriatric patients, adhering to established nursing standards and practices within the scope of their license.
Responsibilities include providing skilled, patient-centered nursing care to individuals and groups with complex mental and physical health issues under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Tasks involve administering medications and treatments, maintaining patient documentation, promoting health education, and ensuring continuity of care through effective communication.
Essential skills include the ability to communicate effectively, monitor equipment functionality, and maintain patient safety.
Shift Differential:
1st shift weekend differential of $3.00/hr. on weekends and holidays
2nd shift differential of $3.50/hr., applicable on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
