Job Description:

To provide comprehensive patient care through the application of the nursing process, encompassing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.

Direct and guide patient education, and supervise the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current Iowa RN license.
  • BCLS and ACLS certifications as required by the area of responsibility.
  • Experience preferred, but not mandatory.
Work Schedule:

Full-time night shifts, with a 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. schedule.

Every third weekend, plus holiday rotation, as indicated below.

Contract start date: 05/09/2024.

Weekend Schedule:
  • Week 1: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
  • Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
  • Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
  • Week 4: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
  • Week 5: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
  • Week 6: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Pay Period:

Monday through Sunday.

Hospital Employment & Health Requirements Checklist:

Please note that the agency must provide proof of the following employment and health requirements no later than five business days prior to the contract start date.

Failure to provide all necessary items to Human Resources at JCHC may prevent the agency contractor from starting on the agreed-upon contract start date.

Jefferson County Health Center Human Resources:
  • Resume.
  • Two recent employment references.
  • Online verification of licensure or certification, including expiration date and any disciplinary actions within 30 days of start date.
  • BLS - Copy of both sides of the card - through American Heart Association.
  • All copies of applicable certifications.
Required Certifications:
  • ACLS.
  • TNCC.
  • PALS.
  • NRP.
Required Immunizations:
  • MMR (Mumps, Rubeola & Rubella) - either 2 doses or Positive Titers.
  • Varicella - positive titer or 2 Varicella Vaccines.
  • Polio.
  • Hepatitis B Series, titer or signed declination.
  • Current TDaP - Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (dated within 10 years of start).
  • COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Flu vaccination or signed JCHC exemption during Flu Season (Oct 1st - March 31st).
  • Negative 2-step Mantoux within 1 year of start.
  • Proof of physical within 1 year of start date.
  • 10 Panel Drug Screen within 1 month of start date.
Additional Requirements:
  • Respiratory Fit Test within 1 year of start date.
  • Criminal Background (All states where they hold a professional license and have lived/worked in the past 7 years) within 30 days of start date.
  • National &/or State Sex Offender.
  • GSA(EPLS) within 30 days of start date.
  • OIG-Date within 30 days of start date.
  • Mandatory Reporter Certificates (Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse).
  • Completion of CareLearning education modules (further instructions will be provided by JCHC).

Three 12-hour night shifts per week, with holiday coverage.
