About this role:

This position will lead a small team responsible for supporting the Technology group and its employees with a strategic communications program that focuses on executive and internal communications.

The Communications Director will devise communications strategies to drive employee engagement and business results.

This role can be based in Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX or New York, NY and requires in-office presence 3 days a week.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to the head of Technology
  • Develop and implement an annual communications strategy to establish the head of Technology voice to their employees and to promote the business across the enterprise
  • Identify executive advocacy, external speaking and/or social media opportunities
  • Write and edit, talking points, social media submissions and content to inform target audiences
  • Position the leader's approach to diversity, equity and inclusion as well as key business initiatives
  • Work with the leader's direct reports to ensure their messaging ladders up
  • Track and measure results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes
  • Partner with communicators to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging
  • Lead and coach a small team of geographically dispersed Communicators

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

4+ years of management experience

Desired Qualifications:

Experience developing integrated communications strategies and plans for corporate functions

Experience counseling executives on high profile issues and delivery of internal communications

Experience designing executive thought leadership platforms

Experience in crisis communications or issues management

Experience developing compelling content and leveraging multiple channels for storytelling

Experience leading, high-performing geographically dispersed teams within a matrix organization

Experience building strong relationships and working across large organizations

Office Locations & Pay Ranges:

Charlotte, NC ($120,400 to $250,000)

Dallas, TX ($120,400 to $250,000)

New York, NY ($138,500 to $287,600)
