Job Summary:

The Warehouse Lead is a key member of the Lamb Weston team, responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse and shipping areas. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with a focus on maintaining high levels of productivity, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the movement of production from the packaging area to frozen storages
  • Set up loading appointments for trucks, CO2 cars, and refrigerated cars
  • Schedule loading and unloading of trucks for shipping and receiving of components
  • Monitor work assignments of lift truck operators and cold storage laborers
  • Maintain and promote safe work practices at all times
  • Coordinate trucking schedules with corporate locations
  • Assign positions for lift truck operators
  • Verify loading of product
  • Complete bills of lading
  • Assure required conditions and temperatures are recorded
  • Assign bay locations for production and consolidate bays when necessary
  • Assure employees are knowledgeable in jobs they perform
  • Coordinate with the lift truck mechanic to ensure lift truck batteries are operational and safe

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations
  • Must be a qualified Lift Truck Operator
