Position Overview

The Licensed Behavior Analyst at Ability Builders ABA Co is essential in overseeing and directing the provision of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services. This role encompasses conducting thorough assessments, formulating behavior intervention strategies, supervising the execution of ABA treatment, and tracking client development. The analyst will also work closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to guarantee successful treatment results.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Perform comprehensive functional behavior assessments to pinpoint the root causes of challenging behaviors and skill deficits.
  • Evaluate assessment data to gain a clear understanding of the client's needs, strengths, and intervention areas.
  • Utilize evidence-based assessment tools and techniques to guide treatment planning and decision-making.

Treatment Planning and Implementation:

  • Create personalized treatment plans based on assessment results, incorporating evidence-based interventions and clearly defined behavior reduction and skill acquisition objectives.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, including behavior technicians and other professionals, to ensure accurate implementation of the strategies and interventions outlined in the treatment plan.
  • Provide training and oversight to ensure adherence to treatment implementation and best practices.

Ongoing Monitoring and Analysis:

  • Regularly gather and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of interventions and make informed decisions to adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Track client progress, monitor behavior changes, and modify interventions to enhance outcomes.
  • Conduct periodic re-assessments to evaluate progress, update treatment goals, and refine strategies based on new insights.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work in partnership with families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the client's care to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach.
  • Offer guidance and support to families in applying antecedent and consequence strategies in home and natural settings.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders, including regular updates on progress, sharing assessment findings, and discussing treatment plans.

Supervision and Training:

  • Provide oversight and training to behavior technicians and other staff members under the guidance of the Licensed Behavior Analyst.
  • Conduct regular meetings and training sessions to ensure a solid understanding and application of ABA principles, strategies, and ethical standards.
  • Encourage a positive and supportive learning environment for staff, fostering their professional growth and development.

Professional Development and Ethical Conduct:

  • Stay updated on the latest research, advancements, and best practices in the field of ABA.
  • Comply with the ethical guidelines and professional standards established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and continuing education courses.

Compensation: $15/hour for drive time

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and be licensed in the state of Maryland.
  • Master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of behavior analytic principles, methodologies, and interventions.
  • Experience in conducting comprehensive functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition goals.
  • Ability to administer and interpret various skills-based assessments such as VBMAPP, PEAK, AFLS, ABLLS-R.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • Experience with online data collection programs is preferred.
  • Capability to provide effective supervision, training, and support to staff members.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with clients, families, and professionals.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines in the field of ABA.
  • Must pass a federal and state background check.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including sitting on the floor, kneeling, crawling, squatting, running, or standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 45 minutes.
  • Current first aid and CPR certifications and readiness to complete background checks.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $110.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
