Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care by incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care and the nursing process.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills to patient care management.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
- Prioritize patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning for after-hospital care, and delegate tasks as appropriate.
- Demonstrate patient-focused and cost-effective approaches to patient care, utilizing equipment, staff, supplies, and other resources efficiently.
- Assist physicians in performing special procedures and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care.
- Identify potential patient problems and take appropriate measures to intervene, maintaining a high level of expertise in critical care nursing techniques.
- Monitor and safeguard patient quality of care, ensuring complete and accurate patient records.
- Registered Professional Nurse currently registered to practice in New York State.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- NYS RN License, BLS, ACLS.
- 2 years of critical care/intensive care nursing experience, ICU experience.
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields.
- Ability to build rapport with patients, strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and ability to work well in teams.
