Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team at Amentum. As a Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for directing the facilities operations and maintenance at each site, including engineering, central plant, fire protection/life safety, security, telecommunications, conference center, cafeteria, 0&M, ground services, construction, renovations, and custodial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the facilities operations and maintenance at each site, including but not limited to: engineering, central plant, fire protection/life safety, security, telecommunications, conference center, cafeteria, 0&M, ground services, construction, renovations, and custodial.
  • Provide technical support to site operations.
  • Interpret and implement maintenance policy and procedures.
  • Manage 0&M, construction/renovation projects.
  • Plan and implement large-scale capital improvement projects.
  • Integrate project schedules.
  • Provide high quality customer service.
  • Build and sustain high performing integrated teams.
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity, with 8 of the 10 years having focus on mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Professional certification/registration.
  • Knowledge of process improvement models (e.g., LEAN/Six Sigma, ISO 9000).
  • Experience providing high quality customer service.
  • Experience building and sustaining high performing integrated teams.
  • Experience in managing 0&M, construction/renovation projects.
  • Experience planning and implementing large-scale capital improvement projects.
  • Experience with integrating project schedules.
  • Experience/familiarity with Power Plant design/high voltage system operations.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of project management concepts to manage items including, but not limited to: project schedule, scope, cost, risk, and deliverables and related metrics.
  • Knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) concepts of operation, and electrical generation procedures.
  • Knowledge of US. Government exercise or crisis management communities and experience planning, coordinating and executing support to special events.
  • Familiarity with 24/7 operational environment.
  • US Citizenship Required.
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility required.
