The primary role of the Mechanical Engineer involves the creation of design proposals, permit designs, energy analysis, specifications, commissioning, and oversight of HVAC and Mechanical systems.

At Crete United, our preferred project delivery method is Design-Build.

Key Responsibilities:


The Mechanical Engineer is tasked with developing design proposals, permit designs, energy modeling, specifications, commissioning, and construction oversight of HVAC and Mechanical systems.

Our project delivery approach is primarily Design-Build.
Design and implement HVAC and Mechanical systems.

Collaborate with project team members to address complex mechanical engineering challenges, comprehend project-related issues, and enhance process engineering and understanding.

Provide regular updates on project activities as per the established schedule.
Ensure that outcomes align with client requirements and standards.
Estimate the time needed to complete tasks and track performance against timelines. The individual should be capable of executing project assignments with minimal oversight.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC and Mechanical systems. Familiarity with Plumbing systems is advantageous.
Proficient in AutoCAD and possess practical experience in the construction sector.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Bluebeam. Experience with Energy Modeling Software (HAP or TRACE, etc.) is a plus. Design expertise in air, hydronic, steam, refrigeration, humidity control, industrial ventilation, compressed air, natural gas, fuel systems, or control systems.

Familiarity with various market sectors including industrial, consumer products, laboratories, mission-critical facilities, hospitality, lodging, commercial, assembly, manufacturing, life sciences, archival, and pharmaceuticals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
Ability to deliver timely, reliable, and courteous service to clients.
Ability to engage with all levels of the team.

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; EIT certification is a plus.
