Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Trainer to join our Bakery Department team at Whole Foods Market. As a Team Trainer, you will play a critical role in supporting the high engagement, productivity, and retention of new team members by organizing and delivering quality training on their home team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Ensure new and ongoing store and team training programs are successfully delivered and completed.
  • Team Support: Work with team leaders and the store trainer to schedule new member training during their first four shifts.
  • Training Coordination: Coordinate with new members, team leadership, and the store trainer on the timely completion of new member connections, regularly communicating status toward completion.
  • Operational Training: Facilitate team-specific operational training for team members, including team operational learning pathways and team-specific program rollouts.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Attend team trainer meetings, as scheduled, and act as a role model for constant food safety, sanitation procedures, and occupational safety.
  • Customer Service: Train all team members on customer service standards and look for opportunities to provide timely feedback.
  • Product Knowledge: Train all team members on new products, their differentiation, sales tactics, and department placement.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Consistently practice and model proper care, use, and maintenance of all team equipment and PPE.
  • Training Records: Complete the team trainer operational learning pathway, team trainer certification, and other assigned training, and familiarize themselves with the store training roles handbook and maintain engagement with all communication platforms.
  • Reporting and Tracking: Organize, track, report, and maintain accurate training records using Whole Foods Market's learning systems.
Requirements
  • Experience: 6 months of Whole Foods Market experience (or equivalent retail training experience).
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to deliver information in a clear and respectful manner, ability to meet customer service expectations and standards, and ability to follow directions and procedures.
